Contract:
When you call or email to reserve a sailing day, we'll email you a contract to read and sign and send back to us -- either via the mail, or you may fax the signed contract back. Full payment of the charter fee is due with the signed contract. The contract describes our policies regarding reservations, refunds, rescheduling, the captain's discretion for
canceling a sailing day because of weather or other factors, etc.

One person will sign the contract for the group of up to six people, and will act as a spokesperson for that group. That person will be responsible to the terms of the contract. Payments will be made from, and refunds paid to that sole person.
Liability Waiver:
Each person coming aboard for a sailing day will sign a Liability Waiver, basically an understanding that sailing, while fun and exciting, can still be a hazardous activity. Each person will agree that they are in good enough health to enjoy a day on the water, and they will hold harmless, in all circumstances, the Captain and Schooner Heron Charters. The Liability Waiver will be made available the day of the charter for every adult to sign. Children will be added to the parents' Liability Waiver(s) and signed for by the parent. We will not sail without signed Liability Waivers from each member of the group, and the cost of the day will be forfeited by the charter group if the sail is cancelled due to unsigned Waivers.
Payments:
Payments of charter fees may be made through PayPal below. With PayPay, you may pay with your credit card, a PayPal account, or through direct bank transfer. Payment of the charter fee is due when the Contract is signed and delivered. Payment may also be made by check, made out to Schooner Heron Charters and mailed to 293 Deer Drive, Lusby, MD 20657. Payment by check is not considered to be made until the check clears. The sailing day is not firmly reserved until full payment is made. Sailing dates are first come/first served based on payments confirming reservations.
Payments will be made by one sole contact person for the charter group. Refunds will be made to this sole person.
If the charter group requests a refund three weeks (firm) or more in advance of the reserved day, the full amount will be refunded, minus a processing charge of $100. No refunds will be made inside the three-week window before the reserved date, unless the Captain cancels the cruise.
